if you've been into this hobby for long, I would bet that you started off being a nerd who read books and can't start a conversation with a stranger even if your life depended on it. Amongst my siblings and friends...I have always seemed cold and distant. It's due to the fact that I am an awkward person and I am severely shy.
A LESSON OF COURAGE
Cheaper venues like amusement parks, picnic spots and whatnot are usually filled with (A LOT) people. But, they serve as really good spots for shots. They're pretty much generic, and in almost all japanese animations, they will at some point have a scene where there are plains or a sort of old ruin. But... you're shaking and people are starting to stare at you... Here's a fact, you would definitely regret not getting a shot after so much effort of making the costume/props and styling the wig. (There's also the contact lenses, your makeup and gas or transportation fees) SO TAKE UP THE COURAGE, swallow that fear and just pose for the camera. It would also be to your advantage if you do this with some friends. If you're shaking, it won't matter so much if it's not too dark but seriously, DO NOT TURN YOUR BACK ON SOMETHING YOU ALREADY STARTED. Weather, time, and the availability of people are inconsistent...when you have a photographer standing with you in a venue just give yourself enough time to calm down...and give it a try. Believe me, it pays off. One great shot is better than nothing.
