Recently, I've been attending to real life needs such as ID's and all that crap. And as you know the local government in the country I so love and reside in has red tape ignorance all over it. Just need around 2 more ID's and I can finally focus on these costume projects. For now though, I did finish (almost, am still missing the buttons for the back part but that's easy) Asuka Tanaka's costume! The colors are nearly spot-on, just that the immense amount of daylight that pours into my room is insanely glorious. But in any case, am pretty happy with the cloth choices. I also learned quite a bit in terms of constructing a "different" type of sailor style uniform. It has a "double" front area, wherein I attached the 4 golden buttons.
COSTUME CONSTRUCTION TIPS/TRICKS/HINTS: Let's admit it, when we look at stuff like these, the initial thought is that it's fairly easy. Well it is, but then details can be easily forgotten. The fold on the front, button styles, sizes and colors of the lining, and how it's supposed to fit and how big the spaces between linings are, can make or break simple costumes like this. I actually dislike these, because it's easier to spot mistakes and harder to cover them up due to the simplicity. Other upcoming Projects:
Cheers!
