Been thinking to update/renovate the form of content I've been posting here. I don't like wasting people's time so I'll transform my cosplay and life escapades to things with what I learn from them. Things I get from the random adventures I have in cosplay and in life in general. What do you mean? Like a life lesson or practical tutorials like what I've done so far, bits of light tutorial, costume making, photography and posing to be specific. Lesson 01: PATIENCE GRASSHOPPERNot a lot of edits on this, more of a practice for team "RedCurry" on simply using our wits and a beautiful venue. It took a while to plan and have the right amount of funds. But look! It's worth it, I'll tell you right off I regret nothing. The venue was the right choice and everything just fell according to place. At times, it's really better to wait then to rush and force things (Which I usually do)
This day was very testing really, from crazy traffic jams from my place and crazy full parking places so early in the morning all we were able to do was wait. And it did bear fruit. Though honestly, I did not get the shot I wanted. Patience: To the people outside this hobby: Why waste so much time/money on such silly things? Well, as you might invest on an iphone or partying these are what takes up our time. It's not that our lives are boring, quite the opposite most of us are creative individuals who require an outlet. If you have family who enjoy this kind of past time, have a little bit of patience with them. We aren't inconsiderate if you have a point we would listen. As long as you do the same for us. A 'waste' of time is only defined but what kind of return you expect. :) We expect nothing but beautiful photos and memories to look back on.

As it seems to be how it is with me and my little plans, it was a rough start with this shoot. I once again crammed everything in a day or so and had to make my own megaphone and sewed my own gloves. As the dye was the wrong color. (False advertising!! The packaging was almost a 'teal to cyan' but the dye color was almost royal blue) To add to those, I was seriously getting worse health wise. I had flu, a slight fever and I was getting dizzy very easily. I went to work almost the whole week and still pursued the shoot. I'm not yet happy with the outputs though. I mean nothing is exactly 'blowing my mind' just yet. I hope it gets better and that there will be shots that are worth looking at a little more and processing further.
Hatsune Miku is a Vocaloid (Which is a voice synthesizer that was given a personality and overall look) by Yamaha, and she is one of my favorite divas EVER. I love every installment of her game and have played most of them if not all of them. It's rather impossible for me to go without a year and not cosplay any of her versions. (Which is I tell you, pretty countless). About the costume:
It's a modified version of their Project Diva uniforms. As the freedom to add accessories and huge neck ribbons was implemented during Dreamy Theatre and Project Diva F, so I took the liberty of personalizing her to some extent. I made the costume hours before the convention. (In which case, ironically I actually made 2 other costumes and finished everything. But ended up wearing Miku When I first saw the bax in Tagaytay, (and during the start of my vacation at that) I was screaming and taking pictures at the display at the front of Data Blitz. Yep, I looked like a total idiot who was taking pictures with a vita. At first, I said to myself that I would probably get this if the price didn't go higher than 2,000 php. But it did, and it was a bit disappointing. The box cover: I really love the art on the box. The only issue I had now was the fact that they didn't even offer a CD to go with the entire thing. It was just ACCESSORIES. I mean, yeah sure I'd love one of those, but the sticker for the PS3 and controllers are a let down. It would have been best to just be 'purely' accessories for the PS3. An actual controller with Miku in it perhaps. or anything on the lines of that would've made more sense. Contents:
A stand for your PS3 DUALSHOCK controller, Stickers for the PS3 Unit itself Cord straps in the shapes of Vocaloid Headphones (Namely, Miku's, Rin's, Len's and Luka's) A Hatsune Miku Figure that can be attached to the controller or the controller stand, A cleaning cloth with a Hatsune Miku illustration on it, and an original Hatsune Miku phone strap. Remember Vocaloid Cafe by "Secret Garden Kissaten" ? It was just the first ever convention in the Philippines that was all for Vocaloid. Vocafusion was possibly one of the best conventions of the year. (Still waiting for Fantasy Quest 2, let's see who wins out) Saying hi like bossesAnd we hoped we served you well!! It was such an awesome experience. XD Bocchan and Sebastian-san came by to teach us the ways of a master-butler relationship. Aren't we supposed to be training? And so , after derping around... Onee-chan Luka gives us a loving nap on her pretty legs. XD Just be Friends threesome version. And it might not look like it, but before and after this whole photoshoot. We did do our best with a simulation training of a master and butler. Besides, we practiced our SOP's and ABC's as butlers and maids. And so, Len the brat became~
Len the butler. Ready to serve. (We hope) XD haha~ Len Kagamine with his hair down all in black, what's not to like? Aside from the usual tragic theme of the twins being separated at birth and having to face each other to the death, there's the charming costumes and that seriously powerful song and it's lyrics. "Karakuri burst" is a serious treat for anyone who likes the twins and a good start for those who want to try their music! I specially like the character design/illustration by Suzunosuke and the song by Hitoshizuku. This particular song makes use of the 'upgraded' or strong 'append' versions of Rin and Len. And it's seriously EPIC. I honestly just LOVE the twist (however cliched it maybe)
My first and ever beloved Vocaloid: Hatsune Miku. Although her songs are quite varied, I almost always like all of them. From Tsundere, to twisted lolita. She's everything you want. Some people might find her voice a tad bit 'unrealistic'. But honestly, looking at how other people make her sing, and how they make stories of the songs. She has a lot more substance than the other singers. She does not get paid for it, nor will she ever get into a scandal of sorts. She won't age, the vocal qualities will depend on the user. (And more likely it's sub par or really above standards. To simply sum it: I LOVE Hatsune Miku. Way, way back... The only reason I liked Len Kagamine was because of "Servant of Evil" and "Synchronicity". But recently, I've found myself rather...fond of the little vocaloid shota boy. (Not familiar with Vocaloids? Go Here) I mean, with the art and the songs they give him.
HOW can you NOT love him? Those girls are NOT my harem. They're my friends. They all worked hard for Vocafusion. Yes. THEY--I'm a lazy ass what can I say? But during the event, I worked real hard on Vocaloid manor-SGK (Vocafusion). Although it does not seem like it. I always tried to clear every table and respond to any bells I hear. (Even the one's in my head) It was really interesting to be a butler for a day. And to add, am possibly the first ever crossdresser to 'serve' people as a guy. Honestly, I thought I'd be simply cleaning tables. But surprisingly I did decent enough. (So decent in fact, that I was hurting all over after the event) Was supposed to cosplay in the morning but I have NO REGRETS. Will NEVER forget:
Me being a derp. XD Also, I was 'first blood'-- (Was the first to derp around and serve) <---while half-dressed. So many mistakes for my first table. XD Gah...I wanted a do over. All that aside, We were all awesome. Gakupo was Most Wanted Host and Miku likewise was most wanted maid. <3 Tamaki Suoh of Ouran (My favorite Host) Watched Ouran? How about Mei-chan no Shitsuji? Or maybe Hayate the Combat Butler? Maybe you've been to Akihibara or seen videos of Maid and Butler Cafes. It verges on the whimsical and it's just lovely. I've actually always dreamed of being served in one of those. Never really imagined the opposite happening. YES. Me, a simple commoner of even simpler facial structure and speech will be serving as a butler at an event this Sunday. (Not to mention I'm not a guy) Can you believe it? I honestly CAN'T. XD The Vocaloid Manor Cast: Secret Garden Kissaten I'll write about how it goes. But right now am assuming people will not hire the likes of me. It just sounds TOO weird. I dislike the fact that the effort Ms. Ricah did with training and the vest they made would be a waste.
Care to find me? Am the only cross dresser there and I don't know how that will pan out in a 'maid and butler cafe'. "OTL Everyone else is perfect though! And I really hope everything works out. I've seen the efforts from the two, and it's just amazing. It's hard not to wish them the best and work hard for them. They're bringing something new to culture as a whole and they're doing it with 1000% effort! Now, here are some pictures of the Twins: (Sue me! I don't have pictures of the others in here, for now. My vanity makes me optimize my pictures first.) |
