September 30 is the lead heroine's birthday in the series Sword Art Online.
As a very conceited tribute, I gathered some of my favorite photos from the costumes and my cosplays of her.

The confusion, and the thousand of times she has probably been cloned - that is the tragedy that is "Rei Ayanami". I seriously love her character even though I first got to know her from a local tv show here in the Philippines. It was seriously not the kind of show you'd let children watch. But I guess, because of EVA we definitely became a generation of open minded youth.
Technical aspects of the photo: A Nikon D700 was used to shoot the actual image of my Rei Ayanami cosplay. And the cockpit was rendered and modelled FROM SCRATCH in Blender 3D. Then I composited the photo in Photoshop CS6 to finalize the entire image. The act of dressing up as imagined characters shouldn't cause drama
It just sounds so wrong. No matter how obsessed we become, no matter what great lengths you go to get a shot or whatever you expose-- Remember you're in this with OTHER people. And RESPECT should come a long long way. (But then again, don't go expecting to be respected if your actions don't warrant it) We all have different opinions, that's what makes life awesome. What matters most is how open we are to the thoughts of other people. We don't need to agree with them, no one does. We just have to let everyone have a voice. We don't necessarily have to change our ways for them. I'll be going through my past month's cosplays and some of the photos that have not seen light of day throughout the upcoming days/weeks.I'll take a breather and Re-shoot my Rei Ayanami. Then start on my last plan of the year. For now, Have at ya! My Emi Yusa Cosplay Other KuriCurry Cosplay Projects:
My version of Kuroneko, admittedly I don't think I did her justice. She's just way too cute for me to do! Still did her though, I wanted to surprise someone. Besides that, I like her the best in the series other than Ayase. Story time:
This was shot in Tagaytay, a place that is around 2 hours by drive from home. I had a costume fitting during that day as well. And it rained a LOT. The whole plan was to have sunny shots on the outside of the house as well. But in the end we had to use the 2nd floor living room. And the glass walls of the house were dyed in black. (Due to how late we got and how long I took to change and whatnot) This Kuroneko outfit/ Ruri Gokou cosplay I made was supposedly for the last week of August. It was something to console myself with as I was tasked to help out friends for a video shoot. (In which case I ended up doing nothing instead) In the end, I guess I just had to be patient at times and things will come my way. |
